Our kind of January Blues

Waterside escapes you'll love
Feeling a little blue? Yes it’s cold, yes it’s grey, but the shortest day of the winter is behind us and that means things can only get better and brighter.
We’re so excited for the day we can take a trip to the sea, wake up overlooking the river or start our day with a dip in the lake: getting some of nature’s liquid calm is what we’re dreaming of! One day, hopefully soon, we’ll be able to do just that: meander through the trees and the sand dunes, before plunging into nature’s hues of blues.
We want to welcome you into our daydream, so here’s a list of waterside hideouts that we can’t wait to stay at!
(The sooner you book the better; availability is limited and beds are getting booked fast).

#1 Cabin in the Cove
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
We love this black-wood cabin, not just because it has a private sauna and hyper-modern interiors, but also because it’s surrounded by sand dunes and the Baltic Sea is a stone’s throw away.
#2 The Island Farmhouse
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
The island of Rügen is well known for its stunning coastline, and The Island Farmhouse is the perfect place from which to explore it. We love the privacy and grandeur of this former manor house, which is completely surrounded by water.
#3 The Elbe Treehouses
Lower Saxony
How does an evening curled up in front of a wood-burning fire while overlooking the Elbe (after having taken a dip in a hot tub while gazing at the stars) sound? Bliss, right? It gets even better: The Elbe Treehouses’ architecture and interiors are breathtakingly beautiful.

#4 The Thatched House
Schleswig-Holstein
We’re so excited about travelling with friends and family again, and the first place you’ll find us is here, in this gorgeous cottage on the island Föhr. If it wasn’t for the dramatic coastline with its bike paths, we’d struggle to leave the house!
#5 Brandenburg Boat House
Brandenburg
A collection of lakes at the end of the garden? Yes, please! These four cosy studios have direct access to some of the Uckermark’s most beautiful lakes, plus there are canoes that you can jump into and use to explore. Alternatively, sit in the garden jacuzzi and soak in the view.
#6 Cabins on the Coast
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
You’ll be spoilt for choice of where to swim at Cabins on the Coast. These two modern cabins, with an expansive garden, are located on the southern coast of the Darß peninsula, close to the Bodden and the Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park.
