Potsdam Design Apartments

WHAT?
Famous for its palaces, Potsdam has long been popular amongst day trippers from Berlin who come to stroll around the UNESCO structures and their gardens. But Potsdam is so much more than just a palace hot spot, it's also a historic town full of architectural gems. From the old market square and Nauener Tor to the Dutch and Prussian quarters, there’s so much to take in that a day in the city is not enough, which is why it’s wonderful that at the heart of the action is Potsdam Design Apartments.
Hidden throughout the city in its historic buildings, striking apartment interiors contrast with the facade. Bold design meets quality furnishings. We couldn’t stop gasping when we first saw the rooms, and our favourite apartment changes daily depending on our mood - each is so individual. Imagine feature walls with bright wallpaper and thick rugs with animal print, as well as bright, open kitchens and custom-made beds. Plus, the beautiful city of Potsdam and its surrounding lakes are literally on your doorstep.

WHY?
I fell in love because...
- Design is bold and bright, and each apartment has its own personality
- You couldn’t be better located to explore the city: Potsdam is a special place
You must...
- You can’t come to Potsdam and not visit its palaces and their gardens
- Explore the striking Dutch quarter, where many of the apartments are located
You might dislike...
- As most of the apartments are located in old buildings, there are no elevators (so don’t pack too much!)
- Some apartments are on main streets and can get noisy

WHO?
Introducing Nicholas!
“Potsdam is such a beautiful place, and it’s a pleasure to provide apartments from where people can explore.”
He loves…
“It was really important to me that every apartment would have its own personality, so people would always have a unique experience.”
Nicholas’s insider tips
- You can’t visit and not go to the sprawling UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Potsdam palaces and their gardens! All in all, the heritage site covers approximately 500 hectares of parkland and includes 150 buildings.
- Did you know that Potsdam also has a Brandenburger Gate? The gate here is, in fact, older than the one in Berlin. It’s also worth visiting Jägertor and Nauener Tor, two more of the five original gates to the city.
- Go and eat! There are so many good restaurants on your doorstep. Favourites are Buya, Zanotto, Pan e Vino and My Keng.
- Studio Babelsberg is also well worth a visit, especially as it’s been so important in putting Europe on the film-making map (it’s Europe’s biggest and oldest film studio).
